About Herkimer Home's Research and Collections...

The Herkimer Home Library primarily serves the research of the Site Manager, Education Coordinator, Herkimer Home Staff, interns and fellows. Public research is welcome by apppointment, although access to the Library's special collections may be restricted. All research, including those of special collections, is monitored and restricted to a designated space in the Library. Library users will be provided with surrogates instead of original manuscripts and rare books. Access to the rarest items in the Library's special collections by advanced scholors will be determined by the Site Director, who will review the conditions of the item, as well as the purpose of the intended research request.

Research requests can be made by email or by contacting the Site Director at (315) 823-0398 during normal operation hours.
